McHENRY – Community members, local businesses and corporations will have the chance to help thousands of individuals and families in McHenry County continue to receive the vital programs and services they depend on through Family Service.
A new Virtual Night Out event has launched, officials of Family Service and Community Mental Health said in a news release.
The campaign is taking place at www.familyservice.myevent.com, where anyone can visit at their convenience, 24 hours a day, to make a donation, buy a ticket, or bid on special auction items. Bidding will continue until July 31.
“Over the years, many kindhearted McHenry County individuals and businesses have come together to raise funds to support the important programs and services provided to McHenry County individuals and families through Family Service,” said Lori Baker, director of marketing and development for Family Service. “The Virtual Night Out presents an ideal opportunity for local businesses and individuals to give back to the community in these tough economic times. We can’t serve our neighbors in need without the help of the community.”
Family Service has a 52-year history of providing behavioral health care services to McHenry County.
Participants in the Family Service Virtual Night Out can go to www.familyservice.myevent.com. Information on Family Service and its programs is available at www.FamilyServiceOnline.org.
